Here at Fairytale Productions, we love startups! We are big supporters of small business and individual creativity. However, when it comes to something as important as your wedding day photography and videography, we wanted to give you a few key things to consider as you make this important investment. Here are 3 reasons to book with an established Photo & Video company instead of a new, small operation without much history or industry reputation (even if they're talented!) 1)  Established Trust in Your Full Experience Like we said, we LOVE it when new talent comes on the scene!  We used to be in their shoes and KNOW the challenges that

As you may know, the vast majority of wedding engagements begin between Thanksgiving and New Year's Day. That means the busiest booking season for major wedding providers are the early months of the year. We are definitely in full swing here at Fairytale Productions. We wanted to feature this gorgeous shoot of Maggie & Justin from January 4th in Kissimmee, Florida for some Spring session ideas. We know our northern clients won't see the warm, sunny weather for a few more months -- but we hope this gives you some inspiration and excitement as you plan your own engagement photo shoot! Be sure to book your Wedding Photography and Videography

As we did for Spring, we thought it was time for some Summer Engagement inspiration! Here are just a handful from our summer engagement sessions. We can't wait to provide the wedding photography for these gorgeous couples in the fall of this year and into 2017!

We had so much fun with Samantha & David on their June 4th wedding with their ceremony at George George Memorial Park in Clinton Township with reception at Lakeland Manor in St. Clair Shores! These two rocked a blue and pink color scheme in a really fresh and classy way and had a relaxed but romantic feeling throughout their whole day that allowed their whole bridal party and their guests to enjoy the experience. We are so thankful to have been part of their day and wish them the absolute best in newlywed life!

It is common practice for modern day couples to book their photographer first of all major services. Many times, the videography is much farther down the list of priorities. We understand photography is one of the things brides and grooms look forward to most, and are most excited to lock in for the day. However, we recommend booking with a company who can provide both Photo and Video services for your wedding day because of the benefits of the vendors working together. Here are 3 of those benefits: 1) Cooperation Your photographer and videographer working together means that they will be conscious of one another's shots, and not step in the

There is so much to consider when booking wedding photography and videography.  However, most couples have never been so heavily involved in planning a wedding, so they don't always know where to start, what to look for, and what questions to ask. We totally get that. The trouble is, out of not knowing where else to look, many brides and grooms tend to just compare dollar amounts to one another. Budgets are important. But before you categorize all of your wedding expenses and write them in stone, you should know that there are many ways in which the VALUE of what you book can far outweigh a relatively

Every year of weddings has its own set of trends that make it stand out. 2016 will be no different -- millenials are tying the knot with more of their own unique flavor than ever before. Here are 3 up-and-coming wedding trends that we can't wait to capture in 2016. #1 Shopping Local Food & Florals are the big ones here. Instead of having flowers shipped from different corners of the world, couples in 2016 are projected to provide more locally-grown, in-season floral arrangements for their decor, accents, and bouquets. Likewise for catering, more farm-to-table food options are expected to be served from local, sustainable growers. Not only does this give

Wedding photography, along with videography, is one of the most important aspects of a wedding day. Both photography and videography are meant to capture the emotions, details, and memories of the day. But wedding photography is also meant to produce gorgeous portraits that you can put up in your home, at your desk at work, or include in your photo album for friends & loved ones to "ooh" and "aww" over. Sometimes, the hustle and bustle of a wedding day doesn't allow for the laid-back feel during the photo shoot that can help achieve the most beautiful portraits you'll keep and look at for years and years. On your wedding day, everyone

Borrowed & Blue, popular wedding planning & inspiration website, hosts an annual contest for the best of the best in the wedding business in 27 of their most active regions. We've been in the business of Michigan weddings for over a decade, and of Florida weddings for over 3 years now. Most of our clients find us online & through the referral of friends who have worked with us, which we love! However, it is time we start building more of a lasting relationship with the excellent venues and talented wedding coordinators who host our clients' special days. A partnership between venues or coordinators and quality wedding professionals is hugely mutually beneficial. To our benefit, clients will see our name right after starting their planning process, and their trusted coordinator's recommendation gives them a lot of peace of mind. But the benefit back to the
